I guess adding a YouTube video on your WordPress website is not a hard thing to do. That is according to WordPress support. To insert a YouTube video on your WordPress website, just copy the URL from the web browser’s address bar while you are watching the video. For example, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmg2K3ZlxUw. See image.

In your WordPress post/page visual editor, paste the URL in a separate line and WordPress will take care of the rest. For example:

Another way of inserting a YouTube video into your WordPress website is to use a shortcode and in this format: [youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmg2K3ZlxUw]. Inserting the shortcode is done the same way as the previous method. You insert the shortcode in a separate line in your post. The difference when using a shortcode is that, the video is not viewable from the editor unlike in the previous method.

To view the video, you need to publish the post first.
