Hi all,
I do not know my hardware driver name. If I have hardware drivers already installed on my system,
How can I find out what the name of the hardware driver is? Example,
If I had a GeForce video card and lost the drivers that came with it, how can I find out?
Thanks.

How do i know my hardware driver name?
Go to the place were all drivers are displayed and that is the Device Manager. Â You can open this by going through the Control Panel system and choose "hardware". Â That is for the window XP.
For Windows Vista go to the Control Panel, choose 'System and Maintenance"and the administrative tools in the computer management. Â Alternatively, in the run box type devgmt.msc.
The Device Manager had two manual ways, the vendor's ID's and the device ID's and the most unique identifier is, the device ID. This ID is used to track the manufacturer and the Device Driver. The PCI device ID also helps you find your device drivers; you will only use it's search box and you can already search vendors and devices by ID's.

If you want to know what drivers are installed on your computer, you can download WinDriversBackup. It is a free utility for personal, non-commercial use designed for backing up the drivers in Microsoft Windows. This tool can identify Windows driver files and save them to a secure location.
When you back up your Windows driver files, the drivers will be available to you the next time you need to reinstall the driver or the entire operating system. WinDriversBackup is especially useful in situations where you have a computer in your possession but the internal hardware is unknown to you. The tool can identify the hardware on the system and its associated drivers.
