How can I use character spacing?

I use Microsoft Word 2007 so for making advertisement or a decorated document I need to use character spacing so that I can expand or reduce my line as per my requirement.

 

hall highly appreciate if any known person give me suggestion that I can use.

How can I use character spacing?

This option is available in the Font dialog box Character Spacing tab.

Now follow the steps:

To change the horizontal size/width of characters

  • Select the desired text you want to adjust the widths.
  • Open the Font dialog box by using shortcut Ctrl + D.
  • In the Font dialog box , select Character Spacing tab.
  • Use the Scale: drop-down menu to specify the scaling you want to apply on the selected text.
  • Click on OK. (Preview of text can be helpful for you).

How can I use character spacing?

Open your document and select your text which you want to format.

See the below picture.

Click on your word home Tab. If your position is there then click on Font Dialog box Launcher or press Ctlr + Shift + F

From Font Dialog Box Click on Character Spacing Tab.

Come into Spacing list by clicking on Down arrow and click on Position and select what you want.

Write your expected size in By box.

 Now check the Kerning for Fonts and then specify a point size.

Then Click on OK and see the result.

For making your settings default click on Default from Font Dialog Box then click on yes and then Click on OK.
