I just bought a ps3 and i want to check the connection i have. unlike using PCs, pinging there is easier. I want to know how to have a ping test ps3 done.

Hi,

 

It's very easy to ping your PS3. here are the steps:

 

Turn on your PS3 > On your Home Screen, Select Network > Highlight Internet Browser then press X > In the address bar, type in Pingtest.net using the onscreen keyboard or the attached keyboard > Click Begin Test and you should see the result once it's done

Hi Amber,

Doing a ping test on your device such as PS3 is very useful in checking the internet connectivity of it, especially if you like playing games online. So to check if your PS3 has a good connectivity, here’s what you can do:

1.   Turn your PS3 on and wait for it to load completely.

2.   If you have used it before to play a disc game, I recommend you checking the CDROM to make sure that there is no CD inside.

3.   After checking the disc drive is empty, go through the menu and look for an internet browser (you might have an Opera or IE) and launch it

4.   Type WWW.PINGTEST.NET in the address bar and click go.

5.   Ping test will start to run and will display the result after.
