Ever since I have installed the DVD CD ROM drivers for windows 7, I have been facing issues such as unable to find the device and the device not working properly. Can you please suggest me some solution for this issue? Thanks in advance!
Hi. If you are facing any problem with the DVD CD ROM drivers for windows 7 then, the solution can be either of the two mentioned below-
1) The steps for using the troubleshooter for hardware and devices are as follows-
• Open the run window by clicking on windows key+R
• When the run dialog box opens, type control in it>Press enter
• Open the control panel and select troubleshooting
• Select configure a device under the hardware and sound tab and then type the password if asked for
2) The steps to install the drivers again are as follows-
• Open the run window by clicking on windows key+R
• In the dialog box, type devmgmt.msc(for device management)>Press enter>Type the password if asked for>Click on allow
• Right-click the CD and DVD devices under DVD/CD-ROM drives and select uninstall
• Select OK to confirm the removal of the devices
• After the devices get uninstalled, shut down the PC and start it again.
