How to fix Error 16999 VIPRE Internet Security

Hi,

I was installing VIPRE internet security when I encountered an error stating that the installation would not continue. I do not have any other antivirus installed and this is my first time to install VIPRE. Can anyone help me solve this error.

There is a problem. VIPRE installation cannot continue.

Error: 16999: The following antivirus is installed and might conflict: Malwarebytes anti-Malware version 1.65.0.1400: Please uninstall before continuing.

How to fix Error 16999 VIPRE Internet Security

Hi Nolan

I can see that you installed have two antivirus namely the Viper Internet Security 2013 and The Malware Bytes Anti Malware and this is unnecessary having two antivirus on one computer.

To successfully install the Viper Internet Security 2013 uninstall first the Malware Bytes Anti Malware.

1. Click Start button and click "run"
2. Type %system root%system 32contol.exe or you can (click start / control panel)
3. Choose programs then find the Malware Bytes Anti Malware then uninstall it.
4. Restart

Turn Off windows Firewall

Click Start button then control panel then click categories and change to Large icons in order to locate windows firewall click it.

Then in the left side of your window screen click turn windows firewall on or off then click turn off.

Then install the Viper Internet Security 2013.
