I just purchased Mac and I wonder if there is a journal application on Mac.

What OS does it require for me to have this app?

Does it have to be OS X 10.7 or later with a 64-bit processor?

How to download journal application on Mac

Hi Liz Ann Joslin,

There is a journal application for Mac OS X 10.7.4 or later, 64 – bit processor. Its called Day one app by Bloom built, LLC and its Apple app of the year in 2012. 

Day one app is a new a really easy way to write your thought, memories or any thing else and you can get them synced too. 

It available in Mac app store for 10 $.

There exist a couple of Journaling solution for Mac that might be of interest to you in addition to Day One. Some are listed below with the hardware specs and prices.

1. Diary my Michael Gobel – Requires Mac OS 10.6.8 or Later. Price $2.99. Very Simple to use.
2. Capture 365 Journal – Requires Mac OS 10.7 with a 64 bit Processor. Price $4.99. A good alternative for Day One Journaling App.
3. DIarie – Requires Mac OS 10.6 and Later.  Price $1.99
4. Memoir – Requires Mac OS 10.6.6 and later. Price $7.99. Focuses on Security more than anything.
