How does a PS3 perform perfect with only 256MB memory?

I know that PS3 and XBOX 360 both have 512MB of memory, 256 as physical and the remaining 256 as video on the PS3 and XBOX 360 has dynamic memory. How do those consoles performed fine with less memory(512MB). Is there a way to bring this onto the PCs? What are the things that can be done for less memory consumption in PCs while playing games?

Hi,

The Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles performed fine with less memory because both these consoles actually take very less memory by their operating systems as compared to the PC. The Xbox 360 operating system only uses 32 MB and PS3 operating system only uses 50 MB. Due to the less consumption of memory, both consoles performed fine with the less memory.

Yes, there is a way to bring these consoles onto the PCs by connecting these consoles with the help Ethernet network.

The things that will help for less memory consumption in PCs while playing games are as follows:

·         Increase RAM on your PC.

·        Run Ready Boost for clearing junk data in the PC.

·        Disable or remove the unnecessary software’s for your PC.

·        Install a RAM cleaner to clean the RAM properly.

Hope this answer will help you a lot.
