Hello,

Hello,
In Mountain Lion to set up a wireless network you would go to the Apple Menu, then to System Preferences, then click on Network. When you see the network you wish to connect to the list drag it to the top of the list to make sure it is your preferred network. Next you would click on the network and it will open a password, login, field.
Enter the correct password and you should have no problem at all connecting to your wireless network. If you can connect to your router but don't have an internet connection you may have an issue with your modem, internet service provider, or router.
If you don't see your network on the list you may have an issue with your router or wireless card in your computer. Check to see if your network is on and the activity lights are blinking.
If you have any questions about your router you can post again a question about that. Please include specific router brand and model so I can talk you through the diagnostics. Hope this helps!
Dear User,
Follow these steps,
Go to apple System Preferences,
Open Network.
Click the location menu and click edit location to create a new network location.
Click the + button and add a new network location, and give a proper network location name. In this case ‘northwestern’.
Select done and apply to finish.
Now select WiFi as shown below. And turn it on and select your newly created network location from the menu.
Enter your USERNAME and PASSWORD.
Verify the certificate is valid.
Click continue.
Then enter your computers user name and password.
There you go.
Thank you.
