Well, by transfer from one email to another you mean shifting the contents of one mail that you need to stop using to another new one that you need to commence using, right? Then it is simple. You will just need to do the following:

  • Create the new email address that you want to start using.
  • You will then list the new email address as part of the old email address contacts.
  • From the old email address that you want to close, select all the important email messages that you do not want to lose and send them to the new email address.
  • Once you have done that you get close the old mail, your important messages will be in the new address.

You can transfer your email to another email address in different ways.

Use Microsoft Outlook application because it has a capacity to transfer email between accounts. Outlook performs manual transfer.

• First of all add your old and new email accounts to your Outlook profile by using the control panel in Windows.
• Then both accounts will set up.
• Now launch Outlook where you can see two separate mailboxes on the left side of the window.
• Open your old Inbox, go to ""edit"" menu at the top of the window and choose ""select all"".

All messages in your old account will be highlighted and that's the start of transferring. Status bar at the bottom of the window shows how long the transfer will take.

There are many reasons why you may want to switch email service providers.

One of the reasons is that you are getting too much spam emails to your current email address so you decided to leave the old account and switch to a new email address. This is a form of email bankruptcy. Or it might be that you are leaving your present job for higher studies and it required to transfer all personal emails from the Microsoft Exchange server to your new university email account.

Another possible reason is that Your ISP's email service isn't more reliable and you therefore plan to move to a free web based email service like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, etc. Probably you think the new email service from any other service provider offers more features than your existing mail provider and you wish to leave old one.

Hello,

Go into your email provider's help page and it should be right in there as I don't know what your new email provider is. If you can tell me, I can help you better. Anyways, hope this helps and good luck!

Hello Zaman,

I have an illustration below that would help you out on how you can transfer from one email to a new one. You have to remember the important credentials on the previous accounts like usernames and passwords and the new email.

Notice that Windows Live Hotmail account has an easy access of transferring your messages that is called TrueSwitch and Gmail has also a built in Mail Flecther to let you download your messages with POP access. However, if you would like to transfer messages from a free yahoo account a POP3 access should be added that costs about $20 a year. I would suggest you make a Windows Live Hotmail account and use the free TrueSwitch Service.

thanks and regard
