How do I remove a windows time stamp?

Hi guys.  I want to increase the performance of EWF in an NTFS file system and someone told me to just disable or remove a windows time stamp.  How do I do this?  I'm on Windows XP 64 bit sp 2.  Thanks.

How do I remove a windows time stamp?

 

Hi Richard B Garon,

To disable Time stack you should just follow steps and then you can easily do it. Just follow the instruction which is given in the picture-

Just right click here then you will show Properties:

 

Here a window where all of System icon is "On"

 

 

Just "Off" all of them

I think you these pictures will helpful to you to disable time stack.

Please do following to disable or remove a Windows time stamp.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlFileSystem
NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate
REG_DWORD
Value: 1

Generate the above registry key on your run-time image
