Dear Silver,

You didn’t mention where you store your backup files. If you store your backup files in an external HDD, then you just plug it in and cut and paste your desired drive and restore your data. For emergency download backup, I suggest you to use Google Drive. To use that, you have must have an account in GMail. So create your GMail account and use Google Drive.

Thanks.

Hi there Silver,

I am really sorry to hear about your troubles! You haven't mentioned the method you used to create an online backup so I can't give you the exact steps you should follow to return your files to the computer.

In case you used some sort of storage and did a manual upload of files to the server all you will need to do is to connect to that same place and download files back to your computer.

If you've used some sort of online backup system, you will need to visit the website of the service you used, login to your account and follow their steps in order to get the files back to your computer.

Best regards,

Hello Silver,

Downloading your backed up files should be easy. Its almost similar on how you download files from the internet.

First, You have to know what software/website you have used to backup your files. Once you are able to determine which one, Sign in to that backup service and restore your files.

Hint, If you have trouble as to which backup service you have used. You can check with your antivirus software because some of them gives you a free online storage. Sometimes your internet provider can give you a free space for online storage.
