Hi,

If you forgot the password of your hard drive that is set on the BIOS of you PC or laptops, open your system cover and short the BIOS for a while. This will remove all passwords on you BIOS settings. For external hard disk password remover, there are several password remover applications that you may try to use.  Follow the link below to download a password remover you may try. Hope it will help you.

If you are prompted with a password after the BIOS POST screen appears, you can remove it in the BIOS. Restart the computer then press Del, Delete, F2, or whichever key is used to go to the BIOS.

In the BIOS, go to “Security” or “BIOS Security Features” tab or something similar then look for and select “Set HDD Password” or “Change HDD Password” or something similar and then hit Enter. Enter the current password then hit Enter. For the new password, don’t enter anything just leave it blank then hit Enter twice or thrice to exit the screen.

Save the new settings then exit. After this, you should no longer be prompted with a password after the BIOS POST screen. On the other hand, if you forgot the password, you can try removing the CMOS battery for five to ten minutes (5 – 10 minutes). This usually removes the BIOS password but I’m not just sure if this will also remove the hard drive password.

If it is a laptop, you should bring it to a computer shop to help you remove the CMOS battery because removing the battery requires opening the bottom cover of the laptop.
