I have a Windows XP desktop which I use once in a while because of which I forget the password of the account. How can I make a make a password reset disk to access the desktop?
You can create a password reset disk by the following steps:
1. Click on Start and open User Accounts in Control Panel.
2. Select the account for which you want to make a reset disk for.
3. Click on Related Task and click on Prevent a forgotten password.
4. Insert a blank disk to make a reset disk.
5. Type the password.
6. When the process is complete, click Next and Finish.
7. Remove the disk and store it safely.
