What could be the cause for getting an XML parsing error which says “not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1 of default.xml”? I was about to play my new FM12 and this error appeared. Do you see any problem with this? How could I possibly fix this?

The XML file comes with your Football Manager 2012 and it is always being processed every time you run the program. The file is automatically configured by the program upon installation.

If your Football Manager 2012 is encountering an XML-parsing error, you should try reinstalling it to restore the file to its original state. Maybe the file got corrupted during your previous sessions with the program.

Uninstall Football Manager 2012 then check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton SystemWorks, PC Tools Performance Toolkit, or Norton Utilities. Install Football Manager 2012 again after this and then check if this fixes the problem.
