It is also said that this feature will provide enterprise chat and document collaboration. But the users are highly expecting this feature for its launch. Facebook’s professional version dubbed as “Facebook at Work” is set to launch early next year, January 2015 and would compete with rivals LinkedIn, Microsoft OneDrive, and Google Drive. Facebook at work is anticipated to be released without any advertisements unlike the original Facebook website and is said to look similar to Facebook itself.
At present, 54 percent [54%] of offices block Facebook on computer workstations to stop employees from getting distracted. This is according to a study conducted last year. It is said that Facebook staff are now testing the beta version of Facebook at Work and they will select a number of users to be given a chance to access the site after the holidays.
Facebook at Work allows professionals to connect with each other to create networks and collaborate over documents. The site also has its own news feed and messaging service.
