I need your help as I am facing a problem with snmp program application.

I don’t know well about it. I want to use it to find network host.

How can I get the soft free of cost for windows?

Please narrate the process of finding network host with it.

This application is very easy to use, it has a simple graphic interface so you'll have no problems learning it.

 

It supports all Windows versions and, of course, it's free.

SMNP (or Simple Management Network Protocol) uses a variety of "Network Discovery Protocols". Two of them are related to discovering hosts:

1  Accessing ARP tables (also known as "Host Addresses") of the routers that were previously discovered do discover remote network hosts.

2. Scanning IP address ranges to discover hosts located in the remote and local networks.

“SNMP” stands for “Simple Network Management Protocol”. It is an application-layer protocol used to manage and track network devices and their functions and the most widely used protocol. It provides a common language for network devices to transmit or send information within single and muti-vendor environments in LAN or local area network or WAN or wide area network.

The newest version, SNMP 3, incorporates security improvements that authenticate and encrypt SNMP messages and also protect packets during transit. If you need to use an SNMP tool, try downloading SNMP Monitoring Software. It supports Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10. For servers, it supports Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, and Windows Server 2019.

It requires 1.5 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or faster processor and 4 GB RAM. Another one is PowerSNMP Free Manager. It supports Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 or higher is required to use this program.
