How can i force iTunes store links open in iTunes desktop APP
Hello Nerdyme,
Â
There is a workaround for making store links open in iTunes, but it's a bit tricky, because you have to edit program files.
Â
Here is how it works:
Â
If you're using Windows:
Â
1. Close Google Chrome
2. Go to Start Menu > Accessories > Run, or simply press Windows Key and R at the same time.
3. In the window that opened, paste the following text %LOCALAPPDATA%GoogleChromeUser Data and hit Enter.
4. Look for the Local State file and open it using Notepad or another text editing software.
5. Search for the line protocol_handler and find macappstore": true below.
6. If you delete this line, Chrome will start prompting you to open MAS links. If, however, you change true to false, MAS links are now going to open without prompting.
7. Save the file and close the text editor.
Â
If you're using MAC OS:
Â
1. Close Google Chrome
2. Open Users > [Username] > Library > Application Support > Google > Chrome > Local State
3. Open Local State file in a text editor.
4. Search for the line protocol_handler and find macappstore": true below.
5. If you delete this line, Chrome will start prompting you to open MAS links. If, however, you change true to false, MAS links are now going to open without prompting.
6. Save the file and close the text editor.
Â
Good luck!
