How can I erase lion Mac OS.

Hello experts

I have lion mac os x in my apple laptop. I want to erase lion mac os x and reinstall it for some security reason. I haven't found any way to erase lion Mac OS x. How can I do that. Is it possible reinstall lion Mac OS x without having an active internet connection.

How can I erase lion Mac OS.

Hello there Elizabeth, 

Your problem seems to be frustrating but I am here to help.

You need to format your mac to be able to securely wipe your mac OS of your mac computer to do that,

Wired Website has the complete step by step instructions on how to format your mac. You can visit this on here.

After formatting you need to install a fresh copy of Mac OSx to use your mac.
