How can I configure open source network monitoring software?

Hi!

I have managed to install open source network printer monitoring application on my desktop to enable me control all the printing done in the office. What is surprising is that I am not able to see any printers or get any details from the application. How does one go about setting up the software and what other printer monitor do you recommend?

How can I configure open source network monitoring software?

Please specify the name of your printer monitoring application so that we can help you how to configure it. But for your second question of alternative free printer monitoring applications, I recommend you using papercut. Papercut is free print logging application for window systems. The log includes the time of print, name of the user, total number of pages, document names and titles, and other print job attributes.
