With Android phones, you don’t do backup of the boot files or you don’t backup the boot files because there is nothing to backup for this part. The only things you can back up on your device are your data like contacts, pictures, files, apps, and others. The boot files are not part of the backup plan because it cannot be backed up.

If your phone doesn’t start, you can always factory reset your device and it should work normally again. There are two ways to factory reset an Android phone: from within the phone or in the Settings and in Recovery Mode when the phone is not accessible like when it is stuck in the logo.

Before doing a factory reset, always back up your phone’s data to your memory card then remove the memory card and SIM card from the phone.
