HL 2030 Brother Printer Software Update 2.8

Hi,

I installed the brother printer software update 2.8 from the Apple software update for MAC OS 10.7.2 and as soon as finish the configured HL 2030 stopped working with the error message that 'files are missing' then I downloaded the latest driver version from Brother.

When I finished the add printer began a fresh new update of the software which kind of installed the Brother Printer Software update 2.8 all over again from the beginning. I also tried using a copy of a previous version of the software, but all of this did not work.

Setting up 'Brother HL-2030 series.

The software for this printer is currently unavailable.

Please contact the printer's manufacturer for the
latest software.

HL 2030 Brother Printer Software Update 2.8

To fix this error try reset the printing system. To do that go to printers & scan control panel, then right click printer list view, then select reset printing system, then add your printer again.

If problem still not solved, you may try also this one, delete the printer from Print & Scan Preference.

Delete also /Library/Printers/Brother Folder, after that re-install the software,

And then restart your computer.

After install, you can download the update from this site Link if the problem occurs also on other printer, just try also those recommendations and it will fix the problem.

Hello Beatrice,

It appears that the drivers that you installed are not working on your computer. That could be due to a number of reasons:

• The driver might be incompatible with the current operating system that you're using. You will therefore need to check your system specifications and then ensure that you get printer drivers that are compatible.
• Another thing that you can try is going to the device manager window and then locate those drivers if you can see them and then update directly. That way, the computer will just search online and download the right drivers that will be able to work with the current OS.
