Help importing acad into file that vue software can handle

I work for a landscape Design Company where we use AutoCAD for landscape projects to make contours and landscape designs. I recently started to use VUE software instead and I need to start importing acad into vue. Unfortunately, I tried importing file formats like ".3ds" many times but VUE couldn't manipulate. My question is what is the appropriate file format available in AutoCAD that can be imported and fitted to use in VUE?

Hi Donald,

There are a lot of options you might want to try: you can try to import the object as an OBJ format in this way it retains the texture map materials and object names will be retained. However rendering a lot of images may take a long time. You may also want to save the image as Vue Object (VOB) and then import it to VUE in this way you may notice that VUE will be ore responsive since the object is already on its native format.
