HD Pro Webcam C910 Won’t Work in WinXP Pro 64-bit

I bought a HD Pro Webcam C910. The camera is everything that I needed. Perfect shot even under bad lighting and also the audio is good. But there is only one problem. It can only work on a computer using Windows 7, or in a virtual machine using Windows XP Pro 32-bit.

My laptop is using Windows XP Pro 64-bit. By the way, the virtual memory I stated above runs on my laptop, so I think the hardware is not the problem. I went back to the shop that sold me the webcam and they, too, cannot get it to work.

What should I do? After rebooting, the message below appears.

Any help? Thanks.

Dear Rexwald montano

According t the error message "SMax4PNP.exe: the version of AudioESP is not intended for this Operating System", it seems to me that your Windows Xp 64 bit is not working with the HD webcam because the webcam hardware is old somehow to the OS version and this what causes the problem with AudioEsp.

You need to visit the ESP manufacturer website or the computer manufacturer website and download the correct driver for it. You didn't specify your laptop type so go to your laptop's website and download drives from the support option.

 Hope this may help you.

Best of luck

Hello Rexwald,

To resolve that issue, which is certainly a compatibility issue, you will need to go to the vendor’s website and then download the software that is intended for your system. You will need to ensure that you get the 32 or 64 bit version, depending on your OS version.

Regards,

Nicke
