Hello,
My notebook adapter was working perfectly lately. Recently there has been some problems with notebook adapter. It is not charging anymore. I do not know what is causing this problem. Is there a way to know if this is a hardware problem or software problem. So far I know notebook adapter does not need any software.
Please someone help me out of this problem.

I'm afraid that this is not laptop software problem, it's hardware problem very likely.You can't turn-off charging by some software, so you don't need to worry about that. With software you can only adjust power plans etc but not something like this.

You firstly need to find out if the problem is in charger or in battery. You must be 100% sure. It would be smart to try with some other charger and see what is happening. Then you will know what to do. If you don't want to mess up with electronics that you will probably need to buy new adapter. I'm sorry, I don't like to be bad news carrier, but I must be realistic.
