Surprisingly this is a very simple issue but I just can't seem to copy this one video. The video wac created using a Sony digicam. From the camera I transferred it to my laptop (drive D). It was there for a couple of days. When I tried copying the video to a flash drive the error says "operation not allowed" or something like that.
What would be the possible reasons when copy video with errors?
From hard drive to USB flash copy video with errors
The most common cause for this problem is simply not having write access to the location you are trying to copy the video over. To change this first connect the USB flash drive, click the Start menu, then select Computer. Then right-click the drive icon in Computer and then click Properties. On Security, click the Edit button. Choose the user you need to give read/write permissions. If you are not doing this for just one user, you can select Everyone.
Set all the listed Permissions to Allow. Click Allow, then Apply to save the settings. The USB flash drive is no longer in read-only mode.
