Does anyone know why Haihaisoft Universal Player crashes with this error whenever I try opening a video?

Haihaisoft Universal Player has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Dear Peter,

Make sure the Installer version of DVD player is same as your Operating System. Go to the properties of the DVD player under compatibility select Win XP Service Pack 3 and run as Administrator, it will not crash. Secondly try repair of the Player by reinstalling it from setup.

You will get the following windows when you Right Click the Software

Installer version of DVD player
