What are the basic requirements and hardware specifications when upgrading to Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich? Will it be possible?

Android version upgrading depends upon the device model that is being used. The brand of your device gives you the access to further up gradation of the android version. The new android 4.0 ice cream sandwiches can be installed only if the brand or the manufacturers of your device allow you to do so. 

The older devices are not allowed to upgrade to latest android versions as it affects the sale of that brand. For example, HTC does not allow its Wildfire android mobile phone to get upgraded to the latest android version. But if you have recently purchased an android device then it would be possible to upgrade it to android 4.0 ice cream sandwich.

For the device’s specifications when upgrading it to Android 4.0 ICS, there are really no exact requirements because the possibility of upgrading a specific Smartphone to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich really depends on the handset’s model.
