Hello Guys,

I have a problem when installing the game GTA.

When I inserted the disc 1, an error occurred while trying to read the source file.

For now, I don’t know what to do next. I have downloaded 3 times, but the same error showed up.

Error

C:Program FilesGrand Theft Auto IV – Episodes From Liberty

CityUninstallFirewallInstallhelper.dll

An error occurred while trying to read the source file:

The device is not ready.

Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or

Abort to cancel installation.

From where did you download the installer for this game?

If you downloaded it from a P2P sharing website, the chance of getting a 100% working installer program is 50/50.

Most of the files that can be found in these sites are thoroughly edited by some intruders to add something or remove something from the game’s component. They do these sometimes to make the program 100% licensed. And after manipulating the software they put it to the P2P sharing site.

There is a particular file in the installer you got that is not functioning at all. I don’t know if the stuff you downloaded is in a form of a disk image or a setup file. Any which way, it is still not working. If the game you downloaded is in a form of a disk image, you need to burn this in a blank CD-R disk. After burning the disk, browse the content if you can see any text file or .doc file inside.

Open it and check any instructions on how to properly install the game. Sometimes the instructions on installing are written inside readme.txt or any .nfo file. If you find a .nfo file included in the setup files, open it with notepad.

Don’t double-click it, Windows’ System Information will open instead of the file.

Hello,

I think you have lost some files from your game. So you better uninstall the game and delete leftover files. Reinstall the game and after doing this try to temporarily disable anti virus, anti spyware, firewall running in your system. If it again shows the same error then you should check this link.

Hope this helps you.
