How will google stop the financial hemorrhage of Motorola; Is Google expected to use Android technology to rise above Motorola competitors; is Motorola last quarter significant losses the only reason google made the $12 billion dollar purchase?

You want to know about Google and Motorola deal.

Motorola is the first company who marketed mobile phone. But day by day their position is becoming lower and lower. Now there are so many companies who produce mobile phone. Motorola cannot stay in race.

Google have a huge popularity in recent days. They also have a mobile operating system. By using Google android operating system many mobile phone company became profited.

So now Google made a deal with Motorola. Google and Motorola are same now. Motorola will produce mobile phone and Google will give operating system. Thus they will become gainer in future.

Hello Kathy

Google did not really bought Motorola because of its consecutive financial losses. According to the management of Google the reasons why they acquire Motorola are the following:

• The need to acquire the patent portfolio of Motorola in order to protect their Android against legal threats from competitors.
• As time goes by several people are accessing the web through the use of their mobile devices and as we all know Google specializes in this field and they would like to hold on their dominance in the World Wide Web. Google has this concept in their minds that they will easily achieve this goal when they have their control on the software as well as the hardware. 

This is really indeed a major move for Google because this is considered as the largest acquisition by Google so we can expect that they really have big plans for this significant move. 

There is an interesting article I've read on the net. It states that another reason why Google purchased Motorola is because of the tax benefits/ deductions it can get. It also states that Google can get 700 million dollars tax deduction per year.
