I had a chat with my client in MSNÂ ie, Windows Live Messenger 2011 (Wave 4), which was not saved. Now I am using a different computer, Is there any possibilities of getting MSN Chat logs temporary files from the internet, so that I can have the details of the chat. Please advise me in this regard, Thanks.

Unfortunately, MSN is not saving your conversations outside your computer so getting the logs that weren't save is impossible.Â

Browsing through the internet cache on your old computer won't help either, as MSN is not saving chat logs there but in the user's directory structure and only if you give it a permit to do so.

The only way I can think of to get the logs, is to ask another side to send them to you.

I have a little experience with MSN messenger so I will try my best to help you. Basically, I need to know if you have a folder in your documents named as “my chat logs". Unfortunately if you have not saved your cat, or chosen to save it automatically, it is likely to be gone for sure.

This is to the best of my knowledge. Personally I use the 3rd person program MSN plus to manage my chat logs as i find the built in one unreliable.
