Genius video cam express v2 not working

I installed a FaceCam 1000X 720p HD CMOS with Genius video cam express v2 software on my Windows 7 64 bit desktop.  When I launched the webcam, all I see is a black screen on the video window.  Is the webcam defective or do I just have to update the driver?

Genius video cam express v2 not working

Hello Brenda

Check the USB port first by connecting any other USB device, if the port is working fine , do you see a light on the webcam.
If you do not see any light,  it means there is no power to the webcam. Try connecting the Webcam to other USB port

If you are on desktop, connect the webcam to the port which is at the back of your computer because that provides maximum power support to USB devices. If you still see black picture, then you can reinstall the webcam drivers from here
