Galley View and Story View Unavailable

I have Adobe InCopy and InDesign CS4 installed on my Mac computer. Recently I am receiving an error message which states “Galley View and Story View are not available as the document do not contain InCopy stories.” I have tried importing the InCopy assignment to layers and selection but the error persists. What should I perform to get the issue solved?

To resolve that issue, you will need to follow the procedure below:

• You will need to open the .indd file that is causing the problem.
• And that will be either in the InDesign or InCopy.
• Once you have opened it, you will need to look in its Links panel, you will do that by going to Window  and then choosing Links.
• There,  you should and see if there are any listings for .incx files in there.
• In case there are not any of them, then it is clear that they are missing, and that is the root of the problem.
