FTK imager fails to open due to wrong executable

Hi there,

I have on my PC FTK Imager.exe and this error appears when I want to open the application. I don’t know why it doesn’t recognize the application. Can anyone tell me what is happening with my PC ? How can I solve this ?

Windows cannot fine “ X:PrgramsFTKImageLiteFTK Image.exe’ . Make sure you, typed the name correctly and then try again.

FTK imager fails to open due to wrong executable

Exe files are mostly used for the delivery of viruses and Malware. Therefore viruses can replace or corrupt the existing files which can lead to the error message‚ when the Forensic toolkit or related programs are executed.  

You need to do the following steps.

1.  Repair the registry entries associated with forensic toolkit.
2.  Conduct a full malware scan of your PC.
3.  Update PC device drivers
4.  Uninstall and reinstall the FTK program related to access data FTK image.Exe.
5.  Run windows system file checker

​Now there should be no problem in this case.
