Antivirus that will work best on MAC

Hi Guys! I need your advice. I just recently acquired a new PC and I want to know what the best antivirus is for my MAC PC… I am running windows 7 Pro using parallel. Any suggestions on what Anti-Virus will work best on MAC and my virtual machines? Thank you.

Hi,

First of all, you don't really need an anti – virus in your Mac computer as it is almost immune to viruses.

However, if you still want to use one, I would recommend to use Sophos. While it is a very light antivirus, it does all the necessary works. It not only check MAC malware but also checks and detects windows trojans and malware. It has a very user friendly interface and all of it comes for free!

The other options are Avast or Kaspersky. Avast has a free version, but it is recommended to use the premium versions which costs a good sum for 1 year license.

An anti-virus software is required on a PC, virtual machine or on a Mac to keep it safe. The one that I would suggest you is Avira which will protect your system against a variety of threats, viruses and malware. It also prevents passing PC viruses as well.

Then the others that you can try are Sophos, it blocks known malicious URLs and wipes out dangerous downloads. Then AVG anti-virus, it automatically scans every file you open, copy or save and helps to protect all that is important.

There are lots of anti-viruses which are available nowadays but most of them are itself a virus causing factor. As Mac system is the most secure system they are not easily affected by viruses.

There are many anti viruses on the market like Avast, Sophos, Panda, Avira, Kommodo, Bit defender and many others. There is no need to install anti-virus for mac as they are well secured but still in order to get protected from massive attacks I recommend you to install Spyware it is the best all of them.
