What type of business are you up to? Is it clothing or fashion line? Or is it hardware stuffs that you're going to sell?
For all these options that you have in mind Shopify can help you build your e-commerce website.
They can give you some free templates that you can choose from or if you want your website to be more complex you have them specially made as well.

There are many free and open source e-commerce applications which you can download and even set up in your own infrastructure. They are highly customizable and have been used to power some of the very heavy traffic websites.
Let's have a look at them –

Magento Community Edition – Possibly the most widely used e-commerce engine, it can be easily customized. Catalog and pricing are easy to manage and setup. It is a PHP based application.

PrestaShop – Relatively new entrant, but has gained lots of popularity of late. It offers integrated shipping, analytics, checkout and much more. It is a PHP based application.
