Frayed power cord, need help!

Hi there, I have a frayed power cord.  I have no idea how it got that way.  I do have a dog, maybe she chewed on it, but it has been working, I just happened to notice it now.  Is there anything that I could do, or should I just order a new one?  I'm afraid to use it while it is frayed, but also don't want to be without a laptop.  Thanks for any suggestions.

You can use scotch tape around the frayed part. You must check the laptop is charging or not. If your laptop is not charging, then you have to purchase a new charger cord. Charger cord is less expensive equipment. This could be in $50-$100 price range. This is not a great problem to lose your laptop. You can find different brand laptop chargers here:
