Hello everyone,

I have decided to place an order for my new hard disk and it is for my laptop Dell Inspiron 5100. I think the one that use must have some problems on it and it should be changed.

I would like to buy the similar one for my laptop but I have something in my mind that knocks me right now whether cloning software can truly transfer application.

I know there is specific application software that needs a license for user and I have some doubt whether It can be able to transfer to new drive. Previously I used adobe acrobat, word perfect also some other software that I will have to install again if I do not do the cloning of them.

At this moment my operating system is windows XP along with whole current service packs. So is there anyone who can help me out to solve this problem.

Thank you very much for your kind of cooperation regarding this issue.

Hello dear,

Here you can take help from software to do this in easy way. Just search for the ‘Acronis Backup Utility’ from internet. Think this will not cause any problem.

Now, put the new hard drive you have purchased in your laptop. The old hard disk should be connected through USB. You need to do this to boot from new hard drive.

1. Run the clone program. Press Clone Disk.

2. Click next, then select Automatic mode.

3. Select your USB connected hard disk as this is the source disk.

4. Click ok.

5. Wait for the end.

Your job is done. Thanks for your time.
