Is there any way to sync folder on buffalo nas drive (network attached storage) with your local hard drive, so that if the music tune is added to the local file folder, the buffalo nas drive also update its own music folder?

Hello,

I am confirmed about your problems.

There is no way to synchronize data on buffalo nas drive .But you can use the Microsoft's free tool "Sync toy "

This program provides:

  • Graphical user interface to synchronize file and folder.
  • Super speed of file copying into different location.
  • Highly customizable
  • Ease of access
  • Better error reporting while sync failed and stop immediately
  • Folder pair configuration is automatically backed up under %localappdata%microsoftsynctoy2.0. User can replace SyncToyDirPairs.bin with the backup copy to resolve last saved configuration.

I will be very happy if you can overcome the problems.

Hello,

You can use the Memeo backup software. It works great as it runs in the background and automatically pushes any new files on the PC, or any other specified, drive onto your NAS drive.

But the only problem is that Memeo doesn't appear to be compatible with Windows 7.

If you use Windows 7 then you can always just use the "robocopy" command line tool in Windows 7. Specifically, you'd do:

Robocopy source destination /Meir

The /mir option indicates that the destination directory should be a mirror copy of the source. This results in files which were deleted from the source also been deleted from the destination. You can even simplify and automate the robocopy process by using notepad (or another text editor) to create a single-line text file called something like "directory_sync. Cmd".

Thanking you
