Asked By 50 points N/A Posted on -

I am planning to buy a flat screen television set because I find it very compact and it is the latest now but I have read in the newspaper that flat screen are not environment friendly. I am a pro environment and now I am confused.

Is there a brand somewhere that if possible is a environment-friendly flat screen TV?

And where can I bought it?

If so, what brand?

Is it available in our country -the Phils.?

Flat TV is not Environment-friendly

Hi Christopher B. Pyles,

As global warming is increasing these days it is our moral responsibility to save our environment. It is really good to know that you are pro environment. As almost every family has 2, 3 TVs, according to a survey 10% of energy consumption of a normal home are due to TV and it contributes to global warming.

When you touch your TV it feels hot. This is because it is wasting energy in terms of heat and not only causing to increase surrounding environment temperature but also energy consumption. But need not to worry because there are some environmentally friendly TVs available in the market.

New Sharp Aquos TV:
