Intel has announced that it will release its first xeon server chips with 3D transistors, what advantages will this new server chips have over the existing Xeon E3 chips?

First Xeon server chips with 3D transistors

You got the interesting point. On the last Wednesday, Intel authority announced that, they will bring a new xenon server chips with 3d transistors. But what about it's features? Intel always trying to dominate IT hardware market, so it's on a roll even now. This new xenon 3d transistors chips is based on Ivy bridge micro architecture that will target micro server and cloud apps.

Most aggressive matter is it use 3d transistors which are part of Intel's new 22-nanometer manufacturing process.

You can also called it tri-gate transistors.

It is able to has measured a 5 to 15 percent improvement in CPU performance.

It is a 64 bit chips that will able to draw 6 watts of power and have all key servers features.

S, probably it will grab the market again and be gain more popularity.
