As what we've all know, applications and software are made using programming languages. My question is how can we create a programming language? What was the first language in the world of computing?
Can someone send me some ideas and share your knowledge with me?

Programming can start by being able to turn on and turn off switches. You turn switches on or off to get a predefined outcome based on the combination of the switches' status.
Now take this to a more complicated level and the switching is done in an integrated circuit. On a very simple programmable circuit, an integrated circuit has terminals connected to switches, wherein these switches are configured and the integrated circuit remembers their state.
The integrated circuit may be designed so that, it can be set to programming state and execution state where programming state takes inputs and execution remembers how the inputs were set. Then the integrated circuit sets the output. Complicated programming languages started from that basic design.
