The first complete processer of the world is Intel 4004 which was created by Intel corporation in 1971. It was the milestone for computer technology and we are now ready for some new extreme. Still today world’s latest and fastest processer ever is intel second generation core i7 extreme 980-x with 6 psychical core and 12 logical core there 12 mega bytes cache memory every core has a clock speed of 3.33 Giga Hz it has intel terbo boost technology. With supporting the Intel Hyperperthreading Technology. It support DDR3 ram it also support 2×16 discrete graphics with X58 speed. With the starting price of almost 939 $ price.
That’s right. The earliest processor released commercially is the Intel 4004. It is a 4-bit CPU released in 1971 by Intel Corporation. The chip design began in April 1970 when Federico Faggin joined Intel. Under his leadership, the chip design was completed in January 1971 and it was in March 1971 when the fully functional 4004 was first commercially sold to Busicom Corp. of Japan.
By mid-November of the same year, the Intel 4004 processor was made commercially available to the general market with the ad “Announcing a new era in integrated electronics”. The Intel 4004 processor is the first monolithic CPU in history, fully integrated in one small chip. Aside from the Intel 4004, there were three other CPU chip designs done about the same time.
The first chip was the Four-Phase System AL1 which was done in 1969. The second was the MP944 which was completed in 1970 and used in the F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. The third and the last chip is the Texas Instruments TMS0100 chip which was announced in September 17, 1971.
