Firefox.exe Referenced Memory Application Error

I am receiving this error message from the very first day when I installed Firefox on my laptop.

The explorer works for some time and then gets hanged and then this error appears as in the image below.

I think it is occurring due to some memory overflow or may be some other reason.

The instruction at “0x7c911c48” referenced memory at “0x00330044”. The memory could not be “read”.

Click on OK to terminate the program

I want you to please figure out that what is the main cause of this error.

Why this error does appears and whenever it appears I have to terminate the browser and all my browsing history also washes out after its termination.

If this continues to happen then I will never be able to complete my projects so please if you know the exact proper solution to this error then please reply.

Hey Marc Shane,

I can help you but, this involves reinstalling Firefox. The problem your seeing is a memory leak inside the program which deals with the operating system. In plain English it means that either your OS (Operating System) is a "old" OS and the program code didn't include parameters for your version of windows.

This is usually called bumping in programming where the programmer may have bump out the code of certain block (accidental). The only way to resolve this is to install a earlier build of Firefox and refrain from updating it to current versions.

Steps 1:

a) Open Internet Explorer and import your bookmarks from Firefox.

Step 2:

  • Download a program called "CCleaner" @ https://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner
  • Install it.
  • Once its installed open it and go to the "Tools" section and select "Uninstall".
  • Look for "Firefox" and uninstall it.
  • Next go to "Registry" Tab on the Left.
  • Select "Scan for issues" and then "Fix all" – It will prompt you for backup, PLEASE BACKUP.

Step 3:

Step 4:

  • Enjoy.

(You will lose some extensions whenever downgrading to an earlier build.)

I cannot stress enough the importance of a backup of all your files. Make sure you even backup your original Firefox folder for reference.

Thanks,

Did you have flash or adobe ADM installed on your system? Uninstall it first. If doesn't work try to clean reinstall, first you must Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing the new copy of the Firefox installer.

It is very important to clean the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Remember to download a fresh copy of Firefox from  https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ and save the file then install it. For more information you can go to this site https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ and Report this bugs to Mozilla developer.
