Hello experts,

I get this following weird message when I try to install an Add-on or an Extension.

Why am I getting this unexpected installation error.

I reviewed the error console from the Tools but I could not understand so I need your help and provide me full instructions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello Jay

Sometimes when you are trying to install extensions or add-ons files stored may be corrupted or damaged. Please open Firefox and go to Tools -> Options and delete your Cache.

Another thing you should do is close Firefox, and go to Help and click Troubleshooting information. Under the Application Basics, click on Show Folder. And after this you must enable your Windows to show hidden files and folders.

I have attached a picture in order for you to do that. Navigate to C:UsersUsernameAppdataRoamingMozillaFirefoxProfilesprofile folder

In there, delete the files extensions.ini, extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.sqlite, extensions.sqlite-journal and compatibility.ini.

After doing this, you will be able to install add-ons into Firefox.

I hope you will find this information useful.
