Dell have unique serial number also known as Dell Service tag. How to locate Dell System Service tag on your Dell pc/tablet/laptop manually using command prompt?
The Dell users eventually require unique serial number for identification of their device specs and for warranty purposes. Service tag is 7 or 10 character code. Generally present on the casing of the Dell device.
Follow these steps to find out service tag using command prompt from your pc/laptop:
• Open Command Prompt (Search in start as cmd or press start +r and type in run “cmd”).
• When you open command prompt, type wmic bios get serialnumber.
• Press Enter and required serial number will be displayed.

Also it should be noted that it can also be used for other company devices for obtaining the serial number.
