Find Device On Network By Mac Address

HOW TO GET IP ADDRESS FROM A MAC ADDRESS:

1) DHCP SERVER

• Every desktop has an IP address assigned by DHCP server.

• From the Windows Server, go to the DHCP console.

• Select address leases. You can view the IP as well as MAC address.

• If you have a wireless router then on the AT&T U-Verse box click device details.

You can see the MAC addresses.

2) PING BROADCAST ADDRESS

Method 2 – Ping Broadcast Address • Open start menu.

• Search command prompt.

• Type: ‘ping along with your subnet’.

• You will get request timed out four times.

• Type arp-a.

• List of all the connected devices with the IP address will appear.
