Fatal Error causing AutoCad to close

My coworker just had to go for vacation for a month. Her work station is going to be cleaned by the IT while she isn’t in the office so I have to take over some of her work by storing her profile in my computer.

Now when I try to start working on them I get this error. What do I do? It seems that the IT doesn’t know about this so I have to go for the internet for help.

FATAL ERROR: Invalid Configuration path filename: /Users/christalboyd/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/local/AutoCAD 2012/R18.2/enu

Fatal Error causing AutoCad to close

Hi,

Good day,

That kind of problem is based on permission issues. Your account has no permission to read, update or edit the file your using. As you have stated above that her computer was cleaned, and you have taken over some of her work in her profile by storing it in your computer. So the problem is the permission is still on her profile so you can't edit or update those files.

To solve this problem, you must restore the default user in that computer that was cleaned out and reedit those files and have it modified. So that another profile that had an AUTOCAD installed will rename it to the default user. All of the AutoCAD paths will be copied to the Current User Branch of the Windows registry.

I hope this helps.
