My daughter recently bought a lenovo ideapad y510p particularly for gaming. It has been just 2 days and now she is not able to play with it. When she tries with certain games, the device shuts down immediately or produces a black screen. Is anyone experiencing same problem or can anyone suggest a solution for this please?

If she attempts to play a game and it shuts down immediately or sometimes causes the screen to go black, try checking the battery or probably update the video card driver. Regarding the instance where the laptop suddenly shuts down, check the battery of the machine before playing a game.

Sometimes because of the intense play in the game you forgot that your battery is about to die. Since playing PC games consumes time, there is no problem if you will connect your laptop to your charger for the entire duration of the game. It will not harm the battery or whatsoever.

Regarding the blackening of the screen after starting a game, check the system requirements of the game and verify if your computer meets the requirements. There are games where even if the specifications of the computer is way below the minimum requirements, will still run probably a few instances after its initial installation.

And then after a while, it will no longer open and will display an error such as the one you have. If your computer specifications don’t meet the minimum system requirements of the game, if you don’t have plans of upgrading your machine like adding more RAM or replacing the graphics adapter with a much higher video RAM, it would be best to just uninstall it to free up some space.
