Excel add-in installation error SQL Server 2012 RTM

Hi everyone,

I have windows 7 installed in my system. I want to install the SQL Server 2012 RTM MDS excel add in 32 bit on my windows. I am using Microsoft office 2010 and both my windows and office are up-to-the-minute.

Whenever I start the installation process, I receive the following message:
 
 
Error:
These prerequisites are not installed:
Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 Extended
32-bit version of microsoft Excel 2007 or 2010
All prerequisites can be installed from:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=35581.
 
 
I am not able to understand what this error means.
I checked my framework in the control panel which is .NET framework 4.0 extended with 4.0.30319 version. I reinstalled it
 
again but my problem still persists.
 
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

This error probably happens due to outdated Security Updates for .NET Framework 4 which are KB2572078, KB2518870, K2487367, KB253963 and perhaps missing other updates such as KB985671 and KB2468871.Thus, reinstalling the .NET Framework results nothing to resolve this error.

Once the security issue has been recognized,  your system is having possibility to be  attacked by  unauthorized remote to have overall control on your computer. So I would advice  you to download and install the latest Security Updates for .NET Framework 4.0. You can visit here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26312 to download the updated and proceed for the installation process.
